View from a tent in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru

The Caltech Alpine Club and American Alpine Club are hosting climber and scientist Dr. John All for a special presentation about climbing and climate change in the Cordillera Blanca. Join us on Wednesday, April 10 at 6:30 pm at Caltech in Pasadena.

Dr. All will be speaking about the Climber Science program, a partner of the American Alpine Club. For the last two years climbers and scientists have been spending their summers in Peru obtaining dirt, snow and ice samples to study changes in climate. Climbers play an important role in accessing test sites found at higher elevations and amid more technical terrain. Come learn about this amazing program, their studies, findings, and how to get involved!
