Got out for a little tour around the Lakes Basin area in Mammoth and up to Crest on Saturday. Lake Mary Road remains very much unplowed from Tamarack Lodge, and there’s still enough snow to completely cover the cabins by Lake George. There was a good freeze Friday night so conditions remained firm until around noon, when something approximating corn started to form on the east-facing aspects. To get back to Tamarack I skinned up to Hole in the Wall, normally a side country trip from the resort. Probably about the last week for that to be skiable without some walking.

Red Cone Bowl Looking FAT
Hole in the Wall still looking good!
